Biman earned Tk 785.21 crore profit in FY 2024-25

Maintains profit streak for fifth consecutive year

Biman Bangladesh Airlines posted a record revenue of Tk 11,559 crore in the 2024–25 fiscal year, marking a 9.46 percent increase compared to the previous year, the airline said in a statement today.

During the period, the national flag carrier earned an operational profit of Tk 1,602 crore. Its net profit stood at Tk 785.21 crore, marking a 178 percent increase compared to the previous fiscal year.

Biman has maintained its profit streak for the fifth consecutive year.

The income and expenditure accounts of the past fiscal year were disclosed at the airline's annual general meeting held on Tuesday.

The meeting was chaired by Biman's Board of Directors Chairman Sk Bashir Uddin. Members of the board were present.

In FY25, Biman transported a total of 3.383 million passengers to 30 domestic and international destinations using 21 aircraft, which is one percent higher than the previous fiscal year.

It earned Tk 925 crore from carrying 43,918 metric tonnes of cargo for foreign airlines, which is 45.21 percent higher than the previous fiscal year.

During FY25, Biman provided ground handling services to 6,103,147 passengers of 31,112 flights operated by foreign airlines.

Biman's future plans include expanding routes to new popular destinations, digital transformation in passenger services and operations, and strengthening cargo services.
