Police have arrested a key accused in connection with the case over harassing and humiliating Swapan Kumar Biswas, acting principal of Mirzapur United Degree College in Narail. A total of five people have been arrested in the case so far.

The arrestee, Nurunnabi of Gobra Karigar Para in Narail Sadar, is a ride-sharing biker, reports our Bagerhat correspondent quoting the investigating officer (IO) of the case, Inspector Mahamudur Rahman.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Sheikh Mohammad Mursalin, in-charge of Mirzapur police outpost in Sadar upazila, and plaintiff in the case, was withdrawn from his post this morning and attached to Narail Police Lines, he added.

Narail Sadar OC withdrawn following humiliation of teacher
