Fahad Hossain and the story behind Amader School
The world today is said to be at the fingertips of the young and the progressive, cheers to the digitalisation of everything from the education sector to health. And Bangladesh is no less behind. With digital entrepreneurs making every stride of the deshi citizen easier and more accommodating, life has become fast-paced and up-to-the-mark to our global neighbours.
Here in this article, we discuss, Fahad Hossain, another bright young mind in the digital education field, trying to make a difference.
Hossain, Founder, of Amader School, initiated his activities back in 2017 through the popular social media channel, YouTube. After the completion of his MPH degree from a renowned local university, Hossain directly ventured into the digital world of possibilities. While working with EduTube, an e-education service provider, he had the vision to start something similar of his own and hence the initiation of Amader School – an online-based education program.
Hossain still fondly remembers his first post on social media for Amader School, back in October 1, 2017. The post received immense response from young students around the country and indirectly encouraged the company to etch a vision based on knowledge dispersion.
"Amader school' provides free information and online education assistance to thousands of students within our country. Our current student tally is around 9 lacs & 55 thousand," said the proud entrepreneur.
Inquired about beginner challenges, Hossain was clear about his stance. "The digital space may look compact, but there are millions of information stored in 'that one compact space'. It's never possible for one person to work alone, on any sort of worthy content.
"And I am no different! I got help from 'multiple educators' who supported my vision throughout. There was a time when I used to personally help them with their commute to video shoots so that the teachers could provide timely content for Amader School. And I am thankful to each and every one of them today, for their hard work, time and efforts," said the digital entrepreneur.
While speaking to Star Lifestyle, the digital entrepreneur also informed that 'Amader School' was mostly concentrated on curriculum-based education. "There is no end to learning, but I needed to start somewhere in the vast field, to make meaningful and well-researched content. So, Amader School is more based on the textbook curriculum. We try to make textbook knowledge expressive and easy to grasp.
"We try to ingrain interest within the students themselves so that they find their school syllabus worth the read, and actually understand the context rather than meaninglessly memorise the content. In more simple words, we help to grow their interest in textbooks," said the whizz educator.
Sajibur Rahman Pantho, a former student of Amader School, couldn't agree any less. "Fahad sir's teaching style is easy and very fluent. All my friends like his style of teaching. He has made, study easy and interesting. We are thankful to Amader School and hope that the content will keep on guiding the future generation."
When there's so much positivity brimming amongst the young, only one sentence can be said to justify it all.
Let the innovations continue and let many more like Fahad Hossain, rise up to the occasion and make the future bright for the country and the world.
