Fire in Mirpur leaves 3 dead

Three people were killed as a fire broke out at a house in Dhaka's Mirpur area early today.

The deceased were identified as Kolpona (30), Jannat (12) and Kauser (10).

The fire was caused by a mosquito coil at a tin-shed house in Bauniabad area around 4:15am, said Zaman Mia, duty officer of fire service control room. Three houses were burnt.

On information, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the fire around 5:00am.

Later, they recovered the burnt bodies.
