Why Shakib Khan's 'Priyotoma' is being shot outside Dhaka

Earlier, it was announced that Shakib Khan's new film, "Priyotoma" will be released on Eid-ul-Azha. After Dhaka, the shooting for this film is now ongoing in Sylhet. The film also stars Kazi Hayat, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Pran Roy and Elina Shammi, among others.

Speaking to The Daily Star, Himel Ashraf, the film's director, said, "After two days of shooting in the surrounding areas of Sylhet, we will go to Cox's Bazar and Bandarban. Keeping in line with the film's story, I am shooting in these locations. Shakib bhai is also very focused on the shooting. There film's heroine, Idhika is also with us. I believe that the audience will really enjoy and highly rate this film during Eid."

"Priyotoma" is being produced by Arshad Adnan of Versatile Media. The film's story has been written by the late Faruk Hossain. Himel Ashraf and Faruk Hossain have jointly written the screenplay and dialogues for the film.
