Tanim Noor announces ‘Bonolota Express’, adapted from Humayun Ahmed’s novel

After the phenomenal success of "Utshob" in both theatres and OTT, acclaimed director Tanim Noor is gearing up for his next cinematic venture. While accepting the Cinematic Excellence Award—honoured by The Daily Star at the Blender's Choice The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2024—the filmmaker announced his upcoming feature film, and shared that his upcoming film will be an adaptationn of noted writer and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed's novel.
Today, the film's official announcement arrived, which is named as "Bonolota Express".
The first teaser, unveiled today, reveals that "Bonolota Express" is set to hit theatres on Eid-ul-Fitr 2025. The film is an adaptation of legendary writer and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed's beloved novel "Kichhukkhon".
Presented by Buriganga talkies, in association with hoichoi studios and DOPE productions.
Apart from the official announcement of the film, several sources have also suggested that it might reunite the two noted actors, Mosharraf Karim and Chanchal Chowdhury, on the silver screen after a long hiatus. The duo was last seen together in the film "Television".
Details regarding the cast, shooting schedule, and other production updates are yet to be disclosed, but the announcement has already stirred excitement among fans eager to see Tanim Noor bring Humayun Ahmed's world to life on the big screen.
