Former celebrity couple Tahsan Khan and Rafiath Rashid Mithila, who once captivated audiences with their on-screen chemistry, are set to reunite in the web-series "Baaji" on the OTT platform Chorki. Their reunion is a delightful surprise to fans who were disheartened by their separation in 2017, despite the couple maintaining a cordial relationship.

Recently, both stars attended a press conference held at a club in the Gulshan area to promote their web-series  "Baaji", directed by Arifur Rahman. The event marked the first time Tahsan and Mithila shared a stage post-divorce, smiling and engaging with the media.

"Baaji", where Tahsan portrays a cricketer, marks the actor's debut on an OTT platform. The storyline of this suspenseful drama revolves around cricket betting and its consequences, delving into the darker side. Although, it is unclear if Tahsan's character is based on a real-life cricketer. On the other hand, Mithila takes on the role of a journalist.

The series, set to begin streaming during the upcoming Eid, also stars Mim Mantasha, Nazia Haque Orsha, Shahadat Hossain, Partho Sheikh, Tasnuva Tisha, Abrar Athar, Azharul Hoque Adil, and Manoj Pramanik.

The glitzy press conference on Tuesday (June 11) showcased the trailer of "Baaji", featuring a star-studded cast. The trailer release was attended by actors, directors, and crew members who worked on the series.

Tahsan Khan expressed his excitement about his OTT debut, saying, "This is my first project on Chorki and my first experience with an entirely different type of storyline. I am very excited and now eagerly awaiting the audience's reaction to the series."

Director Arifur Rahman shared his enthusiasm, stating, "We have put our heart and soul into 'Baaji.' Every actor and crew member worked tirelessly to offer something unique to the audience. I hope everyone will enjoy the series."

Rafiath Rashid Mithila, who has previously collaborated with Chorki, added, "Working with Chorki has always been a positive experience. This time, the unique storyline and Arifur Rahman's direction made it even more interesting."

Redoan Rony, CEO of Chorki, highlighted the platform's commitment to innovative storytelling, saying, "Chorki always strives to bring something new to its audience. With the nation gripped by cricket fever, 'Baaji' presents an exceptional story about the unknown facets of cricket. We hope viewers will find it refreshing and engaging."

Tahsan Khan and Rafiath Rashid Mithila have been popular figures in the industry both individually and as a former real-life couple. After years of courtship, they tied the knot on August 3, 2007. However, they officially and amicably separated in May 2017.

Despite their separation, Tahsan and Mithila have continued to collaborate in acting and singing projects. Their on-screen chemistry has been appreciated in dramas like "Amar Golpe Tumi", "Mr & Mrs", and "Landphone Er Din Gulote Prem" among others.
