Puja Chery joins Eid race
Four films are currently lined up to entertain the audience with Eid-ul-Azha fast approaching, compared to last Eid when 11 films competed.
To begin with, the Raihan Rafi directorial "Toofan" starring Shakib Khan, Mimi Chakraborty, Chanchal Chowdhury, and Masuma Rahman Nabila, is set to create a storm on the silver screens.
In the upcoming race of Eid releases, a good number of films postponed their release. These include "Neelchokro", "Jongli" and "Esha Murder" among a few others.
In the meanwhile, Bobby starrer "Moyurakkhi", Bubly featuring "Revenge" and "Dark World" featuring Munna Khan, and Kolkata's Koushani Mukherjee, are all set to hit theatres during the Eid festivities.
Now, a new project has entered the fray in this race, starring Puja Chery. The film "Agantuk", directed by Suman Dhar, which also features Shamol Mawla, has already received censor clearance.
Zahid Hasan Ovi, the film distributor, told the media that "Agantuk" was earlier slated to be released on Valentine's Day, however, due to the announcement of the release of Shakib Khan starrer film "Dorod", it was postponed.
He also mentioned that another film under their distribution, "Jongli", could not complete their production, hence the release was halted.
Adding to this he further stated that "Agantuk" will be released in all the multiplexes and it might be available on the single screens as well.
Shooting of "Agantuk" was completed two years ago, however, due to the completion of its post-production work, the film took a long time to get to the screens.
"Agantuk" also features Mili Basher, Shikha Khan Mou, Hillol Roy, and Anwar Shahin among others.
