Legendary superstar Rajinikanth turns 72 today

Today marks the 72nd birthday of Indian legendary actor Rajinikanth. Family, friends, celebrities and fans flocked to social media to congratulate the veteran actor on his special day.

Renowned actors and directors including Kamal Haasan, Dulquer Salmaan, Anirudh Ravichander, KS Ravi Kumar, Raghava Lawrence, and Nelson Dilipkumar, among many others wished the actor on the special occasion.

Congratulating the "Robot" (2010) famed actor on his birthday, Kamal Haasan wrote on his twitter post, "Happy birthday to my dear friend Superstar @rajinikanth. Wish you on this auspicious day to continue your journey of success."

The 72-year-old Rajinikanth has been a stellar actor, having collected a plethora of hit movies under his belt. After his last film "Annaatthe", the superstar now awaits the release of his upcoming film "Jailer".

"Jailer" is a Nelson Dilipkumar directorial film, where Rajinikanth plays the character of a jailer named Muthuvel Pandian. On the occasion of his birthday, a special video from "Jailer" will be released later today around 6 pm.
