Bidya Sinha Mim’s Chorki original film “Lifeline” is set to premiere on the platform on June 21 (midnight of June 20). The film, presented by Fresh Ananya Sanitary Napkin and powered by Norix-1, has been directed by Kazi Asad.

Speaking about the story, director Kazi Asad said, “How far can a person go for love? How much are they willing to risk losing? Why does the urban girl Anannya embark on a difficult and remote journey, and where does it ultimately lead? Through the answers to these questions, we have tried to explore some profound emotions.”

He further shared, “After ‘Adhunik Bangla Hotel’, I wanted to challenge myself with something new. Drama is one of my favourite genres, especially social drama. When I first heard the story idea, I felt it had the potential to become a film. This social drama carries not only social awareness but also strong emotional depth, which appealed to me greatly as a filmmaker. Through this story, we consciously tried to create a meaningful connection between the audience and the filmmaker.”

The director also addressed the title, saying, “It’s probably better not to reveal the story philosophy right now. I believe that if audiences watch the film with a light mind and without any preparation, they will enjoy a simple yet beautiful story. OTT viewers often watch content in parts over multiple sittings, but my request is to watch this film in one go to truly experience its essence.”

The film stars Bidya Sinha Mim, Rezwan Parvez, Gazi Rakayet, Akhomo Hasan, Khairul Alam Sabuj, Naznin Hasan Chumki, Anisha Noor Ayat, and Fatematuj Johara Eva.

The trailer, released on June 10, shows Bidya Sinha Mim searching for someone, accompanied by Rezwan Parvez, who guides her through difficult terrain on a motorcycle. The journey is filled with both emotional tension and moments of conflict between the two characters.

Speaking about the film, Rezwan Parvez said, “‘Lifeline’ is a story of responsibility, love, and emotions. Love has many forms, and this film portrays one of them. I believe it will offer audiences a new perspective.” He also added, “My character’s name is Korban. He is tough on the outside but soft on the inside, and viewers will easily connect with his emotional layers.”

He further shared that shooting the motorcycle sequences on rough terrain was particularly challenging. “We had to ride along narrow ridges between crop fields, which was difficult in itself. The added responsibility was ensuring Mim’s safety throughout. If anything had gone wrong, it would have been deeply distressing.”

Bidya Sinha Mim agreed, describing the demanding conditions during filming. “The uneven dirt roads and intense heat made shooting exhausting. After just one or two scenes, everyone would feel drained. But as actors, once we see a scene turn out well, we regain our energy and continue with renewed focus.”
Speaking about her character, she added that the thematic poster itself reflects deeper symbolism. “If you look at the poster, you’ll see Anannya sitting inside an hourglass. It suggests she is trapped within a certain moment in time, facing a situation that will determine whether she can move forward or not. To know the outcome, you’ll have to watch the film.”

The story of “Lifeline” has been written by Mahamudul Hasan Tipu and Kazi Asad, while the screenplay and dialogues are by Asaduzzaman Abir and Kazi Asad.
