If I knew earlier, would have watched 'Priyotoma' with Idhika: Bubly
The high-grossing Eid release, "Priyotoma," has been receiving a tremendous response both domestically and internationally. Starring Kolkata actress Idhika Paul opposite Shakib Khan, the film has won the hearts of audiences.
However, what many may not know is that Shobnom Bubly, was the original choice for the lead role, opposite Shakib Khan. In an interview with the media, Bubly opens up about her experience with the project and her thoughts on the film's success.
Back in November 2017, Bubly signed a contract for the film, then registered under the name "Priyotoma." The movie, produced by Shakib Khan's SK Films, was set to begin shooting in 2018.
However, due to various reasons, including Shakib's marriage to Bubly, the project faced delays. Eventually, the film was released almost seven years after its announcement, with Idhika Paul taking over the lead role.
Despite not being part of the final cast, Bubly expressed excitement about the movie's success and praised Idhika Paul's performance in the role of 'Iti.' She also shared her desire to watch "Priyotoma" with Idhika, had she known about her visit to Dhaka.
"If I knew that Idhika was in Bangladesh, I would have definitely invited her to watch 'Priyotoma' with me," said Bubly.
She congratulated the entire team involved in the film, appreciating the hard work put in by the late writer Faruq Hossain and director Himel Ashraf.
Despite being occupied with her recent movie releases, Bubly is eager to watch both "Priyotoma" and "Shurongo" soon. The actress shared her excitement about her Eid releases, "Prohelika" and "Casino," and mentioned working on an upcoming film as well.
