In a recent interview, Apu Biswas revealed that she herself planted the rumour of 'affair' with Bappy to promote their film, "Shoshurbari Zindabad 2". 

In an Eid special celebrity talk show with Nagorik Television, the actress revealed that she had a good reason as to why she had to stage the whole thing.

"This film 'Shoshurbari Zindabad-2' would mark my return to the silver screen. In order to create hype among the audience, we created this whole strategy with our director Debashish da and Bappy. Fortunately, our promotion worked and people came to watch our movie. I am really happy that I was able to capture everyone's attention," said the actress. 

Apu Biswas' latest release "Laal Sari," will be released this Eid. She will be seen opposite Symon Sadik in the film.
