English-language Bangladeshi film ‘Dot’ to release in the US

The English-language film "Dot" was released in theatres across Bangladesh on September 5. Now, the film is set to reach audiences in the United States.

Director Barua Sunanda Kakon stated that "Dot" will be released on November 7 at AMC Universal Studios in California.

Following the California premiere, the film will be screened across 15 states in the US, according to the filmmaker.

"Dot" tells a story of love, emotion, and the struggles of people living by the riverside. The film is produced by Barua Monojit Dhiman and Mohammad Delwar Hossain.

Kakon said, "Dot is based on the story of human trafficking and women's struggle. The screenplay is inspired by real events, so we had to conduct extensive research. The film has a runtime of 2 hours and 8 minutes. Keeping both local and international audiences in mind, the dialogues have been kept in English."

A group of actors from the Group Theatre performed in "Dot". The cast includes Barua Monojit Dhiman, Misti Moni, Pari, Rajibul Islam, Sonia Parvin Shapla, Mamun, Mostafizur Rahman, and others.
