Ayushmann Khurrana wins TIME 100 Impact Award
Following the triumph of his recent film, "Dream Girl 2," Ayushmann Khurrana has been honoured with the prestigious TIME 100 Impact Award 2023 by TIME Magazine. This recognition acknowledges his remarkable contributions to pushing the boundaries of content in Indian cinema and his outstanding advocacy for child rights as a UNICEF Ambassador.
In this year's TIME 100 Impact Award, Ayushmann Khurrana stands as the sole Indian recipient, marking the second occasion in three years that TIME has celebrated his achievements. His initial recognition came in 2020, when he was named among the '100 Most Influential People in the World.'
Responding to this significant announcement, Ayushmann expressed his feelings, stating, "This is the second time that the prestigious TIME Magazine has chosen to recognise the work that I do on camera as well as off it. I'm proud as well as humbled with this honour from TIME Magazine because it validates my core belief system as an artist and a human being trying to affect positive social change."
He continued, saying, "I'm deeply grateful to TIME Magazine for honouring me with the TIME 100 Impact honor this year. I have and will always try to push the content envelope of India through my brand of cinema."
Currently, Ayushmann Khurrana's film, "Dream Girl 2," is delighting audiences in theatres. The film opened strongly, collecting an impressive Rs 10.69 crore in India, and it has now crossed the Rs 100-crore milestone.
