Art exhibition ‘Illusion & Reality’ begins at Abinta Gallery
"Illusion & Reality", a group art exhibition was inaugurated at the premises of Abinta Gallery of Fine Arts at 5:30 pm today. The exhibition features a number of precious artworks conducted by a group of young artists hailing from the department of Drawing and Painting of the Faculty of Fine Arts in the University of Dhaka. Abinta Gallery is a project of the Abinta Kabir Foundation.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was presided over by Nilu Rowshon Murshed –Bangladeshi art collector and chairperson of Abinta Gallery of Fine Arts. Also present were, visual Artist Farida Zaman, along with artist Professor Jamal Ahmed and the chairman of the Department of Drawing and Painting of Faculty of Fine Arts in University of Dhaka, Professor Sheikh Afzal Hossain.
A number of total 35 artworks done by 18 young artists have been displayed on the walls of the gallery at the exhibition, which consists of versatile media as like: pencil sketches, pen sketches, oil colours, water colours along with numerous acrylic paintings.
The exhibition will remain open from August 5 till August 11, for spectators.
