Basanta Utsab 1432 to be celebrated tomorrow

Jatiya Basanta Utsab Udjapon Parishad (National Spring Festival Celebration Council) has announced that the Basanta Utsab 1432 will be celebrated with day-long cultural festivities in the capital.
The event will take place on tomorrow (February 14) at the Liberation War Museum, beginning at 7:30 am with musical performances welcoming the arrival of spring.
The opening segment of the Basanta Utsab will be presided over by the president of Jatiya Basanta Utsab Udjapon Parishad, Safiuddin Ahmed. Speeches will be delivered by Vice-President Kajal Debnath and General Secretary Manzar Chowdhury, along with other distinguished cultural figures.
In this year’s festival, group music performances will be presented by Rabindra Sangeet Shammilon Parishad Dhaka, Bannishikha, Satyen Sen Shilpigosthi, Surbihar, Panchabhaskar, Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts, Surteertha, and the Central Khelaghar Asor.
Group dance performances will be presented by Kathak Dance Community, Nrityanalay, Bhabna, Nrityaksh, Jaggo Art Center, Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts, Spandan, Mom Cultural Center, Fifa Chakma Garo Cultural Academy, Angikam, Sadhona, Turongomi, Nandan Shilpa Academy, Swapna Bikash Kola Kendra, Bangladesh Academy of Performing Arts, and the Central Khelaghar Asor.


Solo music performances will be delivered by Fahim Hossain Chowdhury, Suchi Debnath, Anima Roy, Bijon Chandra Mistry, Biman Chandra Biswas, Arif Rahman, Ferdousi Kakoli, and Abida Rahman Setu.
Solo recitations will be presented by Bhaswar Bandyopadhyay, Belayet Hossen, and Naila Tarannum Chowdhury Kakoli.
The entire programme will be hosted by Naila Tarannum Chowdhury Kakoli and Ahsan Dipu.
The celebration aims to preserve and promote Bengali cultural heritage through traditional artistic expression and community participation.
