Zohad Reza Chowdhury, frontman of the renowned band Nemesis, today revealed that his wife Mahreen is free of cancer. After receiving a confirmed diagnosis from her doctor, he chose to share the encouraging news via his official Facebook page noting that more treatment is still in store for Mahreen.

He wrote, "I didn't want to share the bad news but instead wanted to share the good news… Mahreen is now free of cancer (based on the reports and what the doctor has informed us). It's one of the happiest (if not the happiest) days of my life!"

"Thanks to each and every one of you who have supported us throughout this tough journey! You know who you are. We love you and are forever grateful and are so lucky to have all of you in our lives."

For his childhood sweetheart turned wife, Zohad dedicated, "More treatment to come but we're hopeful that the tough bit is over! Mahu, you are an inspiration to us all. You're a champ! The bravest person I know!"
