Special Christmas programme held at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy
A special cultural programme marking Christmas was held at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy as part of a continuing series of events celebrating major religious festivals, including Eid, Buddha Purnima and Durga Puja, in line with efforts to promote an inclusive Bangladesh.
The cultural evening took place yesterday at 6 pm at the Nondon Moncho on the premises of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. The event was organised by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and managed by the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

The programme sought to highlight the values of peace, harmony and humanity associated with Christmas through a range of musical performances, including carol songs and kirtan.
The Tejgaon Church choir artistes performed at the event, with Christopher Gomez, Dilip Mondol, Bijoy Gomez, Rexona Mondol, Joya Gomez, Vibha Gomez and Subhash Pirich among the performers. Singer Juliette Susmita Baroi also took part, while the bands Gethsemane Worship and F Minor performed band music. The programme was open to all.
