Momotaz sings for metro rail
Bangladesh ushers into a new era of commuting with its first-ever electricity-powered metro rail of Dhaka. Honourable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has formally inaugurated the country's first metro rail by unveiling a plaque at the playground of Uttara sector-15, at 11:04 am.
Singer and Member of Parliament Momotaz Begom has voiced a song, commemorating the much-awaited metro rail.
The lyrics serenade the greatness of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's grand vision for Bangladesh, and how Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina envisioned the future for the country. The song was composed by Kishore Das.
"Metro rail will run in the heart of Bangladesh - I am thrilled about this new adventure. I am happy that I am going to be part of this historic moment, by singing the theme song of metro rail. I have dedicated this song to vouching for the greatness of metro rail, and how it has brought us one step closer to development. I am confident that the audience will love it," said the singer.
The song has been produced in collaboration with a2i Human Development Media.
