Tk 30cr incentive for Aus farmers

Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury today announced a Tk 30.10 crore cash incentive to farmers during this Aus season.

At least 21 districts badly affected by the recent storms and tornados, are also covered by the incentive.

“We expect an increased output of Aus due to the incentive,” she said.

A total of 2.10 lakh farmers in 47 districts will get the assistance in the next 10 days, the minister said.

Matia Chowdhury, also an AL presidium member, made the remarks at a press conference in the Bangladesh Secretariat.
