All domestic flights to be suspended from midnight

All flights on domestic routes will be suspended from 12:01am today, Mohibul Haque, senior secretary of the Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry, told The Daily Star.

The routes are: Barishal, Chattogram, Saidpur, Cox's Bazar, Jashore, Rajshahi and Sylhet.

Earlier, Biman Bangladesh Airlines suspended its operations on 15 out of 17 international routes.

The national carrier is only operating on two routes now -- Manchester and London.
