Man jailed for leaking questions in Rajshahi

A Rajshahi court today sentenced a man to five years rigorous imprisonment in a case filed for leaking question papers of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations in 2014 in Rajshahi.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Saiful Islam passed the order in presence of the convict, Almas Uddin, 30, son of Almas Uddin of Milikgawra village in Charghat upazila.

The court also fined Alam with Tk 5,000. In default, he will have to serve three months more in jail.

On May 5, 2014, a patrol team of Charghat Police Station arrested Almas with three set photocopies of four-page handwritten questions of Accounting second paper from Charghat upazila.

Later, Sub Inspector Ruhul Amin filed a case against Almas with the police station.
