ICT indicts 2 Kishoreganj men
A tribunal in Dhaka today framed six charges against two persons of Kishoreganj for their alleged involvement in crimes against humanity during the country’s Liberation War in 1971.
The three-member International Crimes Tribunal-1 fixed June 5 to begin trial in the case, Prosecutor Tureen Afroz told The Daily Star.
The accused are: Syed Muhammad Hussain alias Hossain and Muhammad Moslem Pradhan. Pradhan is in jail while Hossain is on the run.
Pradhan and Hussain, 64, were involved in killing at least 62 people in Nikli upazila of Kishoreganj between August and November in 1971, according to the prosecution.
Moslem was arrested on July 8, 2015 after the International Crimes Tribunal-2 issued arrest warrant.
