Blogger Ananta murder case hearing adjourned till Nov 4

A court in Sylhet today adjourned the hearing of blogger Ananta Dash murder case till November 4 as docket of the case is yet to reach Sylhet Metropolitan Magistrate Court from the Session Judge Court.

According to court officials and lawyers Metropolitan Magistrate Anowarul Haque fixed the date of next hearing on November 4.

Earlier, another hearing of the case was rescheduled on October 4 for the same reason, said general registration officer (GRO) Bijoy Chandra Das.

Writer and blogger Ananta Bioy Dash was hacked to death in front of his residence at Subidbazar area of the city on May 12.

Nine suspected killers were arrested in this connection while one Mannan Rahi, in the meantime, gave his confessional statement before the court.
