3 people burnt in Bangshal shoe factory fire

At least three people were burnt as fire broke out at a shoe manufacturing factory in Bangshal area of Dhaka this afternoon.

The victims are identified as Abdullah, 28, Ali Akkas, 50, and Jasim Uddin, 35, sources at Bangshal Police Station told The Daily Star.

The fire originated from inflammable substances around 3:30pm at the factory located on Haji Usman Goni Road, police said.

The victims are now undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s Burn Unit, hospital sources said.
