20 districts get new DC

In a major reshuffle, the government today appointed new deputy commissioners to 20 districts and promoted four officials to the rank of secretary.

The districts are: Sylhet, Kishoreganj, Gazipur, Bogra, Madaripur, Barisal, Sherpur, Jhalakathi, Rangpur, Laxmipur, Chandpur, Kurigram, Jhenaidah, Naogaon, Dinajpur, Meherpur, Gaibandha, Narail, Chuadanga and Habiganj.

On the other hand, Md Shahjahan Ali Molla has been appointed secretary to the Bangladesh Public Service Commission Secretariat while Paban Chowdhury as executive chairman of the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority, Md Sohrab Hossain as rector of BCS Administration Academy, and Farid Uddin Ahmed as secretary to the textiles and jute ministry.
