2 shot dead in Laxmipur

Two people were shot to death by miscreants at Rajibpur village in Laxmipur Sadar upazila early today.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (Sadar circle) Nasim Mia said bullet-riddled bodies of Syed Hossain Manik, 45, son of late Sekandar Mia, and Kamrul Islam, 40, son of Shamsul Karim of the village, were found in the area early in the morning.

On information, police recovered the bodies from near the house of one Dr Yusuf around 8:00am.

Police suspect the duo have been killed following internal feud over drug business, said Nasim.

However, police sent the bodies to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsies.
