Ershad to be on life support as long as there is hope: Quader

As long as there is a possibility of recovery, ailing Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad will be kept on life support, the party’s acting chairman GM Quader said today.

The health condition of Ershad remains unchanged while some aspects have seen slight improvements, Quader told reporters this afternoon while briefing them on the health condition of the former president.

When the major organs including kydney and liver start functioning normally, his live support will be removed, he said.

All preparations had been taken to take him abroad but specialist doctors of Singapore National University Hospital suggested not to send him right now, the MP said.

Ershad is getting world-class treatment at CMH, he added.
