Man dies in Dhanmondi lift collapse

A man died after a lift at a residential building collapsed at Dhanmondi-15 in Dhaka this afternoon.
The deceased, Nuru Miah, 45, was the driver of Nasrin Jahan, a resident of the six-storey building, police said.
Abu Bakkar Siddik, officer-in-charge of Dhanmondi Police Station, said the accident happened around 3:00pm.
Following the accident, Nuru Miah was rushed to Bangladesh Medical College Hospital. Later, he was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 4:00pm.
