Clean Dhaka concert postponed: DMP

The Clean Dhaka Concert, which was supposed to be held on February 12, has been postponed due to a lack of preparation.

Talking to the organizers, it has been found that there has not been enough preparation for the concert to be held, thus it has been postponed until further notice till it can be organized better, Maruf Hossain Sorder, deputy commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), told the Daily Star this evening.

Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor was set to rock the stage at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on February 12 alongside Dhallywood actor Ananta Jalil in “Clean Dhaka Concert with Bollywood Queen and AJ”.

Aside from the duo, Indian singers Kanika Kapoor and Javed Ali were also scheduled to perform at the event.

The concert, organised by Dhaka South City Corporation and managed by Antar Showbiz, was aimed at spreading awareness about a cleaner Dhaka and also to support the cleaning workers.
