Shaheed Selim Central Library of BUFT organises 3-day book fair

The Shaheed Selim Central Library of the BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) has inaugurated a three-day Book Fair on the university campus, celebrating literature, learning, and creative exploration.

The event, running from 20 to 22 October 2025, features 26 leading publishers from across Bangladesh, showcasing a wide range of titles - from academic and research publications to novels and design-focused books.

The opening ceremony was graced by Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BUFT, as chief guest, and Nesar Uddin Ayub, Director of the Bangladesh Publishers and Book Sellers Association, as special guest. The event was presided over by Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Acting Vice Chancellor of BUFT and Convener of the Book Fair.

The fair offers students, faculty members, and visitors an opportunity to engage directly with publishers, explore new works, and celebrate the power of books in academic and cultural life. BUFT expressed gratitude to all participants, guests, and volunteers for their contributions to making the event a success.
