Shahab Uddin Khan re-elected as president of KBCCI

Shahab Uddin Khan, chairman and managing director of Zeeshan Group, has been re-elected as the president of the Korea-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KBCCI) for a two-year term (2024-2026).
The election took place during the chamber's annual general meeting (AGM) at The Westin Dhaka in the capital recently, according to a press release.
Jahangir Saadat, president of Korean EPZ, was elected as senior vice-president, and Gerald Chun, managing director of LG Electronics Bangladesh Ltd, as vice-president.
Jin Hur, country manager for Bangladesh at Woori Bank, was also elected as treasurer, and Million Park, managing director of MKP Designers Company Ltd, as secretary general.
Edward Kim, managing director of Acote Group; Yong Oh Yu, managing director of Yu Lee Cap Ltd; Shahriar Kamal, managing director of Concord City Development Ltd; Shaheen Mahmud, chairman of Cotton Group; Barrister Abdul Mabud Masum, head of chamber at The Lawyers & Jurists; Mohammad Shahidul Islam, managing director of HNS Automobiles; included in the new committee.
Shaikh Akber Hakim, managing director of Engineering Resources International Limited; Shameem Ahsan Khan, managing director of Secura Bangladesh Ltd; Md Monir Hossain, chairman of Fariha Group; and Md Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub, chairman of Fair Electronics Limited, also included.
The event brought together members and the board of directors to discuss current economic and business challenges, as well as developments in bilateral relations between Korea and Bangladesh.
Park Young-sik, the Korean ambassador to Bangladesh, attended the programme, along with other members from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency.
Mostafa Kamal, chairman and managing director of Meghna Group of Industries, also attended the event as an adviser to KBCCI.
