Walton becomes official sponsor of Argentina National Football Team in Bangladesh
Walton, a leading electrical and electronics conglomerate in Bangladesh, has signed an agreement with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) to become the regional official sponsor of the Argentina National Football Team for their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign, according to a press release.
The Argentina team, three-time FIFA World Cup champions, has a huge fan base in Bangladesh. The partnership has sparked excitement among football lovers across the country, as Walton will accompany the team during the upcoming World Cup, creating a proud and emotional connection for Argentine football fans in Bangladesh.
Under the agreement, Walton has acquired all branding rights for Argentina's national team in Bangladesh. Star players like Lionel Messi and Emiliano Martinez will feature in various promotional activities for Walton products in the country.
Today, the AFA announced the partnership on the official Facebook page of the Argentina national football team, showcasing Argentine star footballers with Walton's factory and products. Walton's name and logo also appear on AFA's official website alongside other sponsors.
Zoheb Ahmed, chief marketing officer of Walton, said the partnership has generated immense enthusiasm among football fans.
"This is the first time a Bangladeshi brand has partnered with the Argentine national team. This collaboration will bridge the team and their fans in this region," he said.
He added, "Walton's vision is to represent Bangladesh globally as a leading electronics brand. Already present in over 50 countries, we aim to expand to more than 100 nations. Partnering with the World Cup champion Argentina team is a milestone in strengthening our global presence."
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place across Canada, Mexico and the USA from June 11 to July 19, 2026, where Argentina will once again entertain football fans worldwide.
