Gold prices fall for second time in three days
Jewellers today reduced prices of gold, a move that comes after three days of slashing its rates by 1.2 percent, according to a press release by Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus).
From tomorrow, prices of each bhori of gold will be Tk 98,210, down by 1.74 percent from today's rate Tk 99,960.
With the decline, prices of 22-carat gold have fallen by Tk 3,033 or 3 percent each bhori from over the Tk 100,000, which prevailed for more than a month,
The Bajus said it decided to reduce gold prices as the cost of pure gold has declined in the local market.
The price of gold, the popular metal used mainly for ornaments, has been fluctuating for over a year.
