EC asks to keep trade fair closed on Jan 31, Feb 1

The Election Commission today asked the commerce ministry to keep Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) closed on January 31 and February 1, the day before and of Dhaka City polls.

The EC has given the decision in order to make sure the Dhaka North and South City Corporation elections can be held in a fair and peaceful manner, reads the order.

The order signed by Md Atiyar Rahman, a deputy secretary of the EC, further requests the commerce ministry to take necessary steps according to the directives.
