Bank officials can now travel abroad for trainings, seminars
Bank officials and employees can now travel abroad to attend training programmes, seminars, workshops, or study tours, provided that the expenses are funded by their respective banks.
However, officials must obtain prior approval from the relevant authorities within their banks for such trips.
On Sunday, Bangladesh Bank (BB) announced the new policy through a circular, which will come into effect immediately.
The directive was issued under the authority of Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991, according to the circular.
This initiative is expected to facilitate skill development and enhance the capacity of banking professionals through international exposure.
