Shakespeare

Theatre and Performance Studies Department of Dhaka University in association with British Council, staged theatrical production "Shakespeare Shoptok" at British Council on April 23 and 24 evening.

The production--a collection of selected scenes from seven plays--marks the 400th death anniversary of William Shakespeare, and was made as part of global celebration programme "Shakespeare Lives".

Theatre director and chairman of Theatre and Performance Studies, Sudip Chakroborthy has directed the trail which was staged by the third year students of the department.

A host of distinguished guests including Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, and Professor Fakhrul Alam of Dhaka University attended the programme, along with a large audience.
