Yesterday, J-Hope unveiled a new single, "Mona Lisa", accompanied by a music video. The energetic track was co-produced by the BTS member himself and Blake Slatkin, known for his work with Charlie Puth, Sam Smith, and Lizzo.

According to his label, BigHit Music, as of 8am (KST) today, "Mona Lisa" had already climbed to the top of the iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 67 regions, including Brazil, France, and Japan.

Additionally, the music video for "Mona Lisa" gained significant traction on YouTube, securing a place in the Top 10 Trending Videos across at least 22 regions, such as the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and Brazil.

The artiste drew inspiration for the song's title from Leonardo da Vinci's renowned painting. According to a press release, "The track likens the praise for the alluring person to the timeless masterpiece. It conveys that what truly moves someone is not external beauty, but rather the distinctive characteristics that make each person special."

J-Hope first introduced the song during a live performance at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. This release comes shortly after his previous single, "Sweet Dreams", featuring Miguel, which was his musical comeback following his completion of South Korea's mandatory military service.

Currently, J-Hope is on tour, with the final stop scheduled in Japan in June 2025. During a recent appearance on "The Tonight Show", he expressed excitement about the tour, telling the audience, "I'm ready and you guys are ready!" He also shared that his memorable performance at Lollapalooza a few years ago played a key role in shaping this tour, highlighting the strong connection between the two experiences.

In an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this month, J-Hope reflected on his time in the military. "I think the period of rest that naturally came with the situation actually became an opportunity for more exploration," he shared. "I found a lot of new inspiration and got to spend much time thinking about the future. I also started making plans for what I want to do once I complete my military service."

Regarding this tour "Hope on the Stage", he expressed, "I believe Hope on the Stage is the tour that will show every facet of who I am. It's a window into the full scope of J-Hope."
