Anupam Kher

Indian actor Anupam Kher, after being announced as this year's Padma Bhushan recipient on January 25, took to Twitter to say he was “happy humbled and honored” to be named for the award and termed it the “greatest news of my life”.

Funnily enough, almost to the day six years ago (January 26, 2010), he had tweeted with disdain about Indian awards – specifically the state-level Padma honors, calling it a “mockery of our system” and adding there is “no authenticity left in them.” How times change!
