I'm still like a new bride for everyone: Tisha
Nusrat Imrose Tisha, popularly known by her last name, is busy ahead of Eid and will be shooting for Eid plays all the way up to the festival. The star talked about Eid shopping, plays and other subjects in a recent conversation with The Daily Star. Excerpts:
Tell us about your Eid plays…
Tisha: Audiences will get to see me in several good plays this Eid. Some are off-beat while others are comedies and romantic plays.
Do you manage time to watch your own plays during Eid?
Tisha: I do. Even if I do miss one, my mother doesn't forget to watch it. She is a very serious and great critic of my works.
What is your favourite attire on Eid day?
Tisha: I love wearing sarees in the morning, after which I head to my in-laws' house.
Have you begun your Eid shopping?
Tisha: It is already done. I shop for everyone, even Farooki's family. I've spent three days at the mall to pick up stuff for Eid.
What about your own Eid shopping?
Tisha: Farooki shops for me. I do the same for him.
How will you celebrate Eid this time?
Tisha: Eid is a family celebration for me. It is a celebration with my mother, father-in-law, uncle and other elders as they too enjoy the day along with the children.
Do you cook during Eid?
Tisha: All the year round, I'm busy with my work. Sometimes I have to cook, but my mother and sister-in-law don't allow me in the kitchen that day. I'm still like a new bride for everyone.
What make up do your wear on Eid day?
Tisha: I like wearing a simple and natural look on the day which is very relaxing for me.
What is the best part of Eid day for you?
Tisha: It is a great feeling to buy new dresses, shoes and henna for all the children of our family. Their enjoyment is the greatest reward for me.
Do you still get Eid salami?
Tisha: Not any more. Now it's my turn to give salami to the youngsters.
