Odisha man breaks own Guinness record by smashing 92 green coconuts

Martial arts expert Keshab Swain broke his own Guinness world record of smashing 85 green coconuts with his elbow in one minute in Bhubaneswar, Indian state of Odisha on Wednesday, which he had set in 2012, reports The New Indian Express.
This time, he raised the bar by smashing 92 green coconuts within 60 seconds, it said.


The world record event that was held at the Janata Maidan in presence of sports enthusiasts and youths, saw Keshab smashing 132 green coconuts using his elbow of which 92 were counted by the judges. The world record attempt was judged by Sports Officer of KIIT Gaganendu Dash and the founder-president of Indian Association of Kickboxing Organisations SS Harichandan.


Keshab, who is also a State Bravery Award winner, had broken 18 coconuts with just his head in one minute two years back and entered the national record five times in the past over a similar fete.
Among others, Industry Minister Debi Prasad Mishra and Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena were present.
