Bandhan Express to have stoppage at Jashore from Thursday
Bandhan Express will make a three-minute stoppage at Jashore Railway Junction from Thursday (March 7), allowing passengers to get on and off the train during their journey to and from Kolkata.
The Bandhan Express is an international passenger train which runs between Kolkata and Khulna once a week from either direction.
The train reaches Khulna from Kolkata at 12:30pm on Thursday and departs for Kolkata at 1:30pm on the same day. It takes only four and half hours to reach Kolkata from Khulna.
The train was inaugurated on November 16, 2017 in a bid to ease communication between the two neighbouring countries.
The stoppage of the train at the Jashore station was introduced following a demand by the locals.

They received a letter from Bangladesh Railway West Zone in this regard, she said, adding that the sales of tickets for journey from the station started on Monday.
A total of 200 seats have been kept aside for the passengers travelling from the station, the station master said.
There are 456 seats in the train. The fare of air-conditioned cabin is Tk 2,000 while air-conditioned chair Tk 1,500, including the travel tax.
