Everyone using a mobile phone in Bangladesh has surely been subject to the repeated calls and SMSs directing all to register their SIM cards in the biometric method.

People put up with the repeated messages and calls from customer service on their mobile phones, but continued to silently endure all, while producing a few hundred ingenious memes to vent their frustration!

The Daily Star has compiled some of the memes currently floating around Facebook, some funny, some mocking—all spreading the chronicles of biometric SIM registration method.

One meme features WWE stars engaging in a hustle threatening and asking anyone who has not registered their SIM cards in the biometric method to come forward!

And in another, you are in a classroom sitting before your friend who draws your attention and hands over notes saying: “If you are yet to re-register your SIM, please bring your active SIM card, NID, NID’s photocopy and a passport size photo to your nearest customer care services…”

Apart from government warnings, notices and text messages, notifications during every single calls in most of the telecom operators have gotten to such a point that many now have resorted to making a few jokes.
