27 more Bangladeshis return from India through Benapole check-post
Twenty-seven more Bangladeshis returned from India through Benapole check-post today, our Benapole correspondent reports quoting Immigration Police.
Benapole Immigration Police Officer-in-Charge Ahsan Habib said that they entered the country after receiving no objection certificates (NOC) from the Deputy High Commission office of Bangladesh in Kolkata.
The health department conducted rapid antigen tests on all of them at the check post. However, no one tested positive, said Ahsan Habib, adding that they were sent for 14-day mandatory institutional quarantine at residential hotels in Benapole and Jashore.
Including them, around 5,400 Bangladeshis returned from India through Benapole from April 26 till today. Of them, 19 were diagnosed with Covid-19, he added.
