Rallies, procession prohibited in certain areas of capital from today

All forms of gatherings, rallies, processions, and demonstrations in several parts of Dhaka have been banned from today until further notice, said the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement.

The restrictions will be in effect in and around Kochukhet Road, from Bijoy Sarani to the Chief Adviser's Office area, near Birsreshtha Shaheed Jahangir Gate, from BAF Shaheen College to the Mohakhali Flyover, Sainik Club Mor, Bhashantek, Matikata, ECB Chattar, and surrounding areas.

Later, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) also issued a release prohibiting public gatherings in the same locations.
