4 ‘Adamya Bangladesh’ members acquitted
A Dhaka court today relieved four members of non-profit organisation Adamya Bangladesh from charges of human trafficking placed against them.
Judge Mohammad Salauddin Ahmed of the fourth tribunal under Prevention of Women and Children Repression Act passed the order following the investigation officer’s appeal for acquittal.
The four are Arifur Rahman, 24, Hasibul Hasan Sabuj, 19, Zakia Sultana, 22, and Feroz Alam Khan Shuvo, 2. There were factual errors in the lawsuit, a previous Dhaka court said.
