TikTok removed more than 16 million videos from Bangladesh between April and June 2025 for violating its Community Guidelines, according to the company's latest enforcement report.

According to a press release, TikTok took down 16,245,593 videos during the second quarter of 2025, maintaining a proactive removal rate of 99.7 percent. Of these, 97.5 percent were removed within 24 hours of being posted.

Globally, the company removed more than 189 million videos during the same period – around 0.7 percent of all uploads. The majority, about 164 million, were identified and deleted using automated detection systems, while around 7.4 million were later reinstated after review. TikTok also removed nearly 77 million fake accounts and another 25.9 million accounts believed to belong to users under 13.

The report shows that 30.6 percent of the videos taken down globally contained sensitive or mature themes, 14 percent violated safety and civility standards, and 6.1 percent breached privacy and security guidelines.

Misinformation accounted for 45 percent of the removals, while 23.8 percent involved edited or AI-generated media, as per TikTok.
