New esports champions crowned at NSU Tech Fest

NSU Tech Fest 2025 has recently wrapped up, featuring four esports tournaments: Valorant (male), Valorant (female), EA Sports FC 25, eFootball Mobile, and the crowning of new esports champions.

Organised by the NSU Computer and Engineering Club, the event also featured robotics contests, hackathons, and tech exhibitions, with over 1,500 participants from 110 universities, colleges, and schools across Bangladesh.

Among the many competitions, however, esports was the star attraction, with popular titles being showcased. The fierce competition, vibrant atmosphere, and immersive LAN environment created an exciting experience for both players and spectators.

With 64 teams entering the arena, the Valorant (male) category saw a gruelling single-elimination format, where, after weeks of online qualifiers, the top two teams advanced to the LAN finals. Team 'Redwings' took on 'Arvion Esports' in an electrifying series, eventually securing a 13-7 score victory on the final map.

The Valorant (female) finals saw 'Team Celestials' and 'NEV ALT F4' as the top contenders. 'Team Celestials' delivered a commanding performance, securing the championship in a 2-0 sweep, with 13-5 and 13-9 victories in the respective rounds.

Virtual football fans flocked to the EA Sports FC 25 tournament, where some of the best digital strikers and playmakers showcased their skills. The segment featured 112 participants battling for the championship title. After six knockout rounds, the grand final delivered an intense showdown, with Faiyazul Islam emerging victorious in a high-stakes match.

HM Areez, winner of the eFootball Mobile category.

For mobile gaming enthusiasts, the eFootball Mobile tournament was a crowd favourite. After a series of intense matchups, HM Areez won the finals with a dominant 6-1 score, showcasing precise dribbling and a tactical masterclass throughout the rounds.

The event brought together students, gaming enthusiasts, and industry professionals under one roof, highlighting the rising popularity of esports in the country. The LAN finals drew an enthusiastic crowd, with fans cheering on their favourite teams and experiencing the thrill of esports firsthand. With esports growing rapidly in Bangladesh, we can expect to see more local events in the future. One thing is certain—esports is here to stay, and its future has never looked brighter.
