Dhaka Metropolitan Police yesterday denied BNP permission to hold its grand rally in front of its Nayapaltan headquarters or at the Suhrawardy Udyan on the grounds of public suffering on a working day.
The government has asked the law enforcement agencies to keep a close eye on the network of Peace school and colleges across the country to see if they propagate in favour of militancy.
