Bangladesh inks deal with Malaysia to send 15 lakh workers in three years under government-to-government (G2G) Plus system. Under the deal, Bangladeshi labours will be recruited in almost every sector including constructions, manufactures and services.
The cabinet today okayed a draft deal for ‘G2G Plus’ that will allow private firms to send workers to Malaysia through government arrangement. The government hopes it can send 15 lakh workers under the new deal over the next three years.
The cabinet sends back the draft agreement between Bangladesh and Malaysia governments for sending Bangladeshi workers to Malaysia as both countries are yet to sign memorandum of understanding (MoU) in this regard.
